Do I have to wash up?

No Adams catering Hire can do all of that for you. Just clear the plates and empty the glasses. The charge is 20% of china, cutlery & glassware hire charge. So for a small charge you can carry on and enjoy your event.

Can I collect to save on delivery charges?

Yes, you can collect from our Enfield Warehouse. We are open for collections and returns from 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday. All you will need is a valid credit card and 2 forms of recent ID. For more information, ask the office when you call.

Is my deposit refundable?

We take a damage/loss deposit and once all the items are returned to us, we refund the deposit less any losses. We notify you of any losses within 3 days of the return and then give you another 5 working days to return any loss(without extra hire charges). If you have broken them then you are charged.

We aim to refund your deposit within 5 -10 working days after the date of return less any money due for loss or damage.

It’s my first time organising a party, what do I do?

You can download our ‘How to Plan your event’ and it will take you, step by step, through all you need to organise.  But if that’s not enough, call us.  We love helping clients plan parties.

How to Plan your Event

Can I come and look at your products before I order?

Yes, of course. We welcome you to come to our new showroom where you can see samples of all our equipment and if using and hiring electrical/gas equipment – pick up a leaflet on how to use them.

How can I pay?

We accept all major credit/debit cards (but not Amex/American Express), cheque (which needs 10 days to clear) or you can pay by internet banking.

Once cleared funds are received, your order is confirmed and the items held for you.

What if something is wrong with my order?

Please call us as soon as you notice an issue, but at least 12 hours after delivery. On our contacts page we have many ways of contacting us after and during working hours.

What if I need to cancel or change my order?

You can alter your order as many times as you like up until 3 days before the date of delivery.
Cancellation charges of the whole order are:

  • More than 14 days notice – no charge
  • Less than 7 days notice – 50% charge
  • Less than 48 hours notice – 100% charge

What if I break an item?

When you receive your quote, the price of the replacement is itemised for you.

Is there a minimum spend?

There is no minimum spend/order value

How long can I have the items for?

The prices on the web site are for a 1-3 day or weekend hire, 4 – 7 days are 1.5 times the hire charge.

Outside this, let us know how long you need the items for and we can advise on the cost.

When will you make the delivery?

We normally deliver the day before the event and collect the day after (except at weekends) and someone will need to sign for the goods. We cannot guarantee any times, but as the vehicles are tracked you can call us to see the progress of your delivery. If a specific time is essential, or late nights & weekends are needed – we can arrange this but extra costs are added.

Large catering hire equipment is often expensive to buy and look after, at Adams we maintain and replace all our equipment on a regular basis with PAT testing and gas testing performed by our trained and qualified team.
